Viaduct of Millau
A bridge crossing the Tarn
This viaduct is the bridge of all records. It culminates 343 metres (meaning it is higher than the Eiffel tower), connecting the plateaus of Lévézou to the Causse du Larzac, above the Tarn and Millau. This impressive pillar bridge was designed by the English architect Norman Foster, and perfectly fits in the unspoiled landscape of the south of Aveyron. It can be admired from the plateau du Larzac or from the motorway. At the foot of the bridge you’ll find an information point with videos and scales models about its construction.
